Innovation and Green Chicago Life Covers
The idea for the Innovation image ('compact fluorescent conquerer') emerged after reading an essay in Design Observer about the incadescent lightbulb. In the essay, Jane Withers points out that the lightbulb, practically a universal symbol of new ideas, is an object that hasn't changed in 100 years. The idea for the Green image plays with the sometimes idiosyncratic reduction of energy use as something that's good for the environment.
